Adobe Systems has discontinued distributing Adobe flash player for Android OS through Google Play Store. Instead it is now available as APK file for developers, android enthusiasts and other users to install it on phone and make web browsers and flash supported apps run the flash contents. Since HTML5 has overtaken web, the importance of flash has started diminishing. Most websites including YouTube now utilize HTML5 but still supports flash. Web browsers for Windows do require flash player installed to play online videos and play games but for android, several apps are available that can catch video files from websites and play them on phone.
See the detailed info about how to install and use it on Android devices below.

How it Works:
Adobe Flash Player has more importance for PC platform than Android. That’s because most internet games that run directly from web browser are created for flash. For example, all those games which are available at facebook can not be played without it. Similarly, most streaming audio, video sites chiefly utilize flash player as core multimedia player. Adobe Flash Player supports vector, raster and 3D graphics, an embedded scripting language called as ActionScript and object-oriented code which can be compared with JavaScript. The supported data formats are XML, JSON, AMF, SWF and supported media formats are MP3, MP4, FLV, PNG, JPEG and GIF.
The developer provides several tools for developing games and applications for flash player which can be utilized by third party developers to create their own products. Adobe Flash Player is a freeware software available for all popular desktop and mobile platforms including Android.
