If you want to connect your Android phone or tablet over USB with PC suite or other third party clients, you should install ADB drivers on your notebook or desktop. Without these, your phone won’t be recognized by your PC. Mostly PC suites automatically install required adb drivers. But if they fail to do so, you can install this universal ADB driver.
How to Install ADB Driver:
1- First you need to disable driver signature enforcement. For that you need to restart your PC into recovery mode.
• Press Shift key. Now go to start > power options > Restart. This will restart your PC into recovery mode.
• From “Choose an option” screen, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
• When PC restarts another “Startup Settings” screen will appear. Select “7) Disable driver signature enforcement” by pressing F7 or number key 7.
• Your PC will continue loading windows.
2- Once windows starts, connect your phone with PC over USB. Make sure you have enabled USB debugging setting from Developer options on your phone.
3- Now execute ADBDriverInstaller file and press “Install” button. ADB driver will install on your PC. Now you can connect your phone with PC and use it to transfer files, view contacts, messages and do other stuff as supported by the software you are using.
(Note that when you restart your PC, Windows will automatically revert to default settings. The ADB driver will remain unaffected)
