If you got an app or game update from Play Store which is unstable, crashing or causing other issues on your phone or simply you don’t like the features or layout of app in newer version, you may switch back to older version by uninstalling the current version from your phone, downloading older version from internet and installing that.
To install older version you need an APK file for that. APK is the Android package that installs apps and games on your phone. But before installing an app or game with APK, you need to turn on “Unknown Sources” setting from your phone. By default, Unknown Sources setting is turned off thus users can only install apps and games that are published on Google Play Store. To install apps from third party sources, you need to go to your Phone Settings > Device & Privacy > Unknown Source Installation (the exact location of this setting could be different for your phone depending on the phone OS and layout designed by your phone manufacturers. So look out for this setting inside sub-settings of your phone) and individually turn it on for the source. For example, if you are trying to install APK from File Manager, turn Unknown Source Installation option for that. If you are installing it directly from web browser like Chrome, turn Unknown Source Installation setting for Chrome.
In short, what you do to downgrade to an older version:
1. Uninstall current version
2. Download old version APK from internet
3. Enable Unknown Source Installation setting
4. Install the app or game with APK
5. Enjoy
